Since his loved one passed away, a tinkerer spends the rest of his lifetime to turn his beloved's amulet into a machine that would allow him to escape his bitter present and return  to the past, to a time where summers were once brighter.

My piece for Round 1 of the First Quicksilver of FictionForge

One of my quickest works. Well, it is for a Quicksilver challenge, after all. Decided to finish it early in case work decides to pile itself on me before the upcoming holidays.

Enjoy! I'm looking forward to the other pieces for this new challenge. 

EDIT: Major overhaul! Changed the girl's face and features, added more detail, made the tinkerer look older, and made the orange magical swirls-stuff a little more magical. Also used a higher-res image.
